Peaches and berries and petunias, oh my!

Strawberries are coming in!

Petunias are actually a great companion in the garden. They repel a variety of pests – I’ve got them planted around my cucumbers and squash plants.

We were gifted a peach tree by some friends. After testing the soil to make sure we placed it where it was around a ph of 6.5, we put it in the ground a few weeks ago.  It seemed determined to fruit – which means the tree is very happy!
We decided to remove most of the fruit you see here so the tree can spend this season establishing a strong root system.

This little friend came to visit me the other evening…we love our beneficial insect friends in the garden!
